Memo Akten’s “BodyPaint “, which was first launched in 2009, took place in Digilogue Space as a visual tool that allows painting with the body on a virtual canvas, interpreting the movement and dancing in progressing compositions.
Body Paint, a visual tool that interprets movements and dances in changing/developing formations on a virtual canvas and allows you to paint with your body, exploring the impressive ways of creating images and colours by capturing the movement and energy of the body even though it does not try to be a painting application.
Thinking that our body is a tool for the expression of emotions and that we have an instinct to express ourselves through dance, Akten’s work opened up the impressive ways of creating images and colors by capturing the movement and energy of the body rather than trying to be a painting application, and by using these instincts, combined this with our desire to create something beautiful.
